In Memory of Jamie Billy
Jamie Billy went missing on January 11, 2022 and was found deceased in the East Fork area on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation of the White Mountain Apache Tribe.
Defender Solar Lights
We placed two Defender Solar Lights equipped with alarms and emergency lights in the location Jamie was last seen to help raise awareness and prevent this from happening again.

The White Mountain Apache Tribe Division of Transportation reached out to Light of the Sun Indigenous Women's Alliance to bring Light of the Sun to the White Mountain Apache Tribe. WMATDOT and Light of the Sun worked with the family of the late Jamie Billy in establishing the "Jamie Billy Light of the Sun" in Memory of Jamie Billy.
